People in predominantly Muslim areas are more open to the gospel as local missionaries improve their lives with clean water, health care and education, but in some areas they brace themselves against hearing the gospel after receiving such expressions of Christ’s love.
Help Send the Message of Eternal Life in Burkina Faso
When a local missionary visited an influential villager identified as a “man of peace,” a Muslim trader was present who cast spells to harm competing vendors; hearing them discuss an impending gospel gathering, he also attended and put his faith in Christ. “His repentance was a reality with his entire family,” the local ministry leader said.
Help Spread the Gospel in Ethiopia
Workers with a ministry that has a nationwide outreach led over 18,000 people to faith in Christ over the course of six months through online proclamation of the gospel, medical missions, Bible studies, and other outreaches. Around 5,600 of these new believers were added through post-trauma evangelical conferences that the ministry held in the aftermath of the three-year civil war.

Amid widespread hunger, the parents of children that native Christian workers fed in Zimbabwe came to express their thanks, providing an opportunity to share the gospel. In another outreach, an elderly man who had lost his wife and three children was stunned that he was not asked to pay for the food that workers distributed to him.

In the face of illness, flooding and rampant false teaching, native Christian workers visited homes and villages to bring biblical truth to poverty-stricken people who found hope in Christ. “Through door-to-door evangelism, we meet people who are oppressed by the devil, and we encourage them to have faith in God through Jesus Christ,” the ministry leader said.
Help Plant Biblical Churches in Chad
Over the course of three months earlier this year, native Christian workers planted several house churches as they led 72 people to Christ. “We call on God first and foremost for the salvation of unreached peoples,” the ministry leader said. “Rescue implies a danger and therefore an urgency that requires a quick and powerful response. So, the whole Body of Christ is urged to pray.”
Help Advance the Gospel in Gambia
Native Christian workers visiting a village were disappointed when only a few of the more than 60 people who saw the Jesus Film and heard a gospel message answered the call to receive Christ. As the workers met with villagers to pray for their needs the next day, however, they saw the full effect of the presentation as more than 10 people declared their faith in Christ as Lord and Savior.
Bring the Lost into God’s Fellowship in Malawi
As churches grow, so does the need for Bibles; members of a church that native Christian workers recently visited were overjoyed to receive copies. Workers speaking at the worship service in their village led six people to faith in Christ.

The Spirit of God is opening hearts to the gospel. A native Christian worker and members of his congregation embarked on soul-winning outreaches in June that saw 30 people put their faith in Christ; 13 were baptized and joined the church.

At a native ministry’s four-day evangelistic event, several women prone to heavy drinking and adultery put their faith in Christ, and they have left their vices and joyfully participate in church worship services. Native workers shared the gospel in various ways, including home visits and praying for the sick. Among those saved was a young Muslim and his wife. “I thank the church for remembering to bring us the word of salvation through Jesus Christ,” he said. The ministry planted five churches over a span of six months. Workers need donations to share the gospel and disciple those who believe. Pray for protection from the spiritual attacks that come with effective kingdom work.
