A husband and wife with a native ministry walk many hours three times a week to help shepherd remote congregations and proclaim the message of eternal life, and they are winning souls to Christ. In another area, seven workers travel through the Andes, braving hunger and cold to bring the gospel to places inaccessible to most people.

Provide Aid to the Poor in South Asia

In areas where 90 percent of the people live below the poverty level, a native ministry distributed staple items that families could not afford so they could cook meals. Workers also distributed food packets to 80 poor families.

A group of new Christians has begun meeting led by a member of their ethnic group. Elsewhere, native Christian workers shared the gospel with a woman whose husband and child had accepted Christ, and a few days later she had a dream and called a leader, who along with his wife led her to saving faith.

Praying for the Holy Spirit to act on the Word sown in hearts and minds, native workers gave thanks for their co-labor with the Lord last year, when 473 people put their faith in Christ and 39 home churches sprouted. The last three months of the year were fruitful as 61 people accepted God’s grace and 16 churches were planted.

Even with the tremendous inroads the gospel has made in the past few centuries, there are more than 7,000 people groups that remain unreached. Native Christian workers wake up every day with zeal to reach these groups, as they are their own people.

People who have never seen a movie walk miles through the jungle at night to see the Jesus Film in their own language. Local Christian workers providing the film saw conversions at every screening.

Help Plant and Grow Gospel Seeds in Laos

After three years of COVID-19 pausing a native ministry from holding seminars, local Christian workers were overjoyed to resume the meetings with 60 pastors and other leaders to advise and encourage them. At another seminar where 106 attended, 46 had been persecuted, including one who was imprisoned for traveling to unreached people.

Family members were appealing to several gods for healing from an illness they had suffered for many years when native Christian workers paid them a visit and shared the gospel. The family put their faith in Christ, and in later visits the workers continued to pray for them, seeing great improvement in their condition.
