Provide Aid for Traumatized Refugees in Türkiye

Many employers refuse to hire refugees, and those that do would not pay enough for them to cover rent. The refugees tell workers that they cannot return to Syria as war has turned residential areas into areas of dangerous conflict or crime. Native Christian workers are the only ones providing them food, water and other aid, opening hearts to the Bible, prayer and the gospel.

Help Workers Plant Churches in Iran

A man addicted to drugs for 20 years became so desperate that he tried to kill himself. Native Christian workers visited and prayed with him, and after three days he put his faith in Christ, stopped using drugs and began sharing his faith with addicts.

Help Plant Gospel Seed in Lebanon

Native Christian workers went to disciple a woman who recently put her faith in Christ, and her twin daughters said they wanted to attend church services. “They said that they had seen the change that took place in their mother’s life, and that they would like to attend Bible study,” the ministry leader said.

Provide Crucial Aid to Refugees in Jordan

Refugees from Iraq and Syria are receiving badly needed packages of food, water and medical supplies from native Christian workers, who also provide coupons for fruits and vegetables for each family.

People in Mexico Hear Gospel for the First Time

Two indigenous families in rural Mexico had no inkling of God’s existence until they heard audio recordings of the Gospel of Mark in their tribal language. “When listening to our audios in their language, something changed in them,” the leader of a native ministry said. “These families have changed their way of being and thinking.” The two families recently put their faith in Christ and have begun attending church services.

Hard Times in Syria Open Hearts to the Gospel

Her face riddled with anxiety, a Muslim woman told members of a Bible study group in Syria that her son had a high fever, and that she could not afford any medical care. She had heard that the Christians prayed, and she asked if they would pray for her son. “You know that we pray to Jesus, right?” the group leader said.

Support Gospel Outreach in Iraq

In evangelism training for Christians who were raised as Muslims, new believers from every province enjoyed fellowship as they learned how to share the Bible with Muslims. Native ministry workers also taught them ways for Christians of Muslim upbringing to meet the dangers of living in Islamic society in a way pleasing to the Lord. Students facing such dangers also learned from each other. “There were great testimonies for those present,” the ministry leader said. “All of them, without exception, face the danger of death.” Donations are needed for such evangelism and discipleship training, Bibles and gospel outreach. Pray for the safety of workers and new believers.

Help Plant Gospel Seeds in Syria

In a country in economic shambles from war, workers providing aid and emotional support have many opportunities to share Christ. A Muslim woman who regularly visited a home fellowship often disturbed services, but then one evening she admitted she was in spiritual bondage and needed prayer. After they prayed for her, she said she wanted to become a Christian, and she gave her life to Christ; she now hosts a new Bible study group in her home with six other women. Workers need donations of $50 or $100 to plant gospel seeds and form such disciples. Pray for support and spiritual renewal for workers facing the same bleak realities of a war-ravaged country as those they’re serving.

Equip Gospel Workers in Türkiye

A native ministry’s rehabilitation center welcomed four new residents last year – two alcoholics, a drug abuser and an internet addict in his early 20s who was incessantly playing computer games. Initially he was withdrawn, rude and suffered insomnia, but now he no longer plays computer games, his sleeping disorders have disappeared and his health and manners have improved. “He asks a lot of good questions during morning devotions and is eager to know more about God,” the ministry leader said. Donations are needed for such evangelism needs throughout the region. Pray workers will be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Afghan Convert Faces Fears in the Middle East

A young woman from Afghanistan who came to faith as a refugee in a Middle Eastern country feared her husband would divorce or kill her if she took off her head covering. Removal of her hijab would reveal that she had left Islam, and the leader of a native ministry prayed with the young mother of two children about her fears and shared Scripture with her. “She came back to us wanting to be baptized, showing us that she was indeed growing in her faith,” the leader said, adding that he asked her what her husband might do if he heard she were baptized.
