An elderly man had repeatedly rejected the gospel, but he returned to local missionaries when he was in the final stages of cancer, and they again shared the message of salvation with him. He repented of his sins, received Christ and was joyously anticipating heaven at his death.

In summer camps for children, Bible studies, parenting seminars and other outreaches, local missionaries have multiple opportunities to present the gospel.

In spite of the pandemic, a local ministry provided 688 classes on biblical precepts. One student who came to Christ was happy to obtain a wide range of biblical knowledge, from putting the kingdom before worldly riches to trusting in the Lord’s promises.
Help Bring Healing in China

A drug addict who expressed his resentment of Christianity by throwing rocks at church windows was admitted to a local ministry’s rehab center, where he gradually warmed to workers patiently caring for him. Initially scornful of Scripture, he eventually began reading it and learned to pray.
Provide Evangelistic Tools and Training in China

A local missionary visited a home where several people heard her talk about Scripture, and one of those present obtained a Bible and later learned how to study it from the worker and other team members. The recipient put his faith in Christ, and his faith grew as he attended Bible studies and Sunday worship.
Proclaim Salvation to the Unreached in China

Visiting new Christians among the ethnic Lisu in their homes, local missionaries taught biblical truths and deepened their faith through a series of questions and answers. At the same time, workers recently visited unsaved families, sharing the gospel with them and planting eight churches.
Provide for Workers’ Upkeep in China

About 80 Christian ethnic youths attended summer camps where they were trained to abide in the Lord and cultivate a vision for the kingdom of God. About 20 workers were equipped to carry out these discipleship events, while others proclaimed Christ in mountain areas and on college campuses.
Provide Christ-Based Training in China

Local missionaries met a university professor six years ago and developed a deep relationship with her, and she said she saw Christ in them and became a disciple. They have nurtured her faith for about a year, and she is now discipling others and helping in local outreaches.
Provide Worker Living Allowance in China

A native ministry oversees 10 churches and four student fellowships, and some of the newer churches do not yet have full-time pastors. Local workers put in long days teaching and counseling those in their care, besides organizing camps for children and university students.
